Baby Wearing - Help!

Hoi,

I love to 'wear' my baby - this could be a weird sentence if you don't know what I am talking about...

well .... This is what I am talking about:

Currently it is that kind of day - babywearing in a stretchy wrap. Now I find it quite a hassle to get the wrap on and now my little boy of almost 12 weeks is getting heavier I find it a little bit feeling like it has less support... So I am thinking more of a buckle one now as that one might be easier to take with me as well so I don't always have to put him in the pram.

Tula Baby
The little man clearly likes being in the wrap as he settles quite quickly and is asleep and generally doesn't mind being in there. It helps me with some chores around the house as well and let's face it.... Sometimes you just want to carry your baby really close to you. So I find the baby carriers absolutely amazing!
Just finding one that fits you and your baby is a tricky thing.

Connecta
Now there is a Sling Library near me, but unfortunately I or have doctors appointments or have other appointments running as they are only there once every 2-3 weeks as they are run by volunteers. The best way to try out different wraps.

I have looked at the following ones:

Tula Baby
Connecta
Lille Baby
Manduca Baby Carrier

But as they do cost a bit of money I would like to try them on first... so what to do??

Lille Baby
Solution! Lucky me - there is a baby & Toddler event on at EventCity at Manchester Trafford Centre this Friday. So guess where I will be going? You can try a carrier for free - and Lillebaby is there! So hopefully I will be able to try one of those on and see how a buckle carrier goes for me. And if so if Lillebaby has got a nice offer on at the event. Me and little man sorted!

Manduca Baby Carrier
What kind of baby wearing did you or still do? Which ones would you highly recommend and which ones could you not get along with? Let me know!

Doei,
Charlene

  1. Hi there,
I loved "wearing"my kids as well. I tried a baby björn but i didn't like it that much.. it was on too tight and the legs of my kid had to spread too wide. Hope i say it right in English. Hihi..
I think the event is a really smart and good initiative! Ideal to check those things out! I hope you'll find the right wrap (or sling or how it is called) for you. Hugs and kisses, Mijntje

  2. Ah thanks Mijntje! Unfortunately I didn't made it to the baby show as I wasn't feeling well. But on a Thursday in the afternoon is the Sling Library - So going to see if I can hire a sling from there :)

Baby Bjorn - I haven't heard good things about it either. So I try to stay away from that one.
